Hopewell, VA CARES Act funds public Wi-Fi and broadband
The city of Hopewell is investing $4 million in CARES Act funding to expand free public Wi-Fi and broadband services. The city strategically installed public Wi-Fi access points on government and private buildings to provide internet access for city offices, libraries, parks, and businesses. The city is also providing free broadband services for over 2,000 residents living in more than 700 subsidized and affordable households for at least a five-year period.
