Invercargill City Council's Parks and Recreation team launched "Discover Our Parks" a marketing campaign including a suite of events designed to help residents discover local parks. The daily events were hosted by Park Rangers and supported by volunteers from community groups at various local parks. The events focused on environment, conservation, animals, fitness, learning, etc. Participants were entered into a drawing with a grand prize of a private tour of a the Queens Park animal reserve.
