Leuven and Sport Vlaanderen used the city's Innovative Public Procurement Program to develop the three-year pilot. Cronos Public Services installed smart cameras near Park den Bruul's multi-functional space. Green spaces at Sportoase Philipssite Leuven are monitored by solar-powered sensors rotated throughout the pilot. IoT assets gather anonymized data on the number of adult patrons, types of sporting activities, and duration of park use.
