The Argenti "Telecare" technology includes sensors, mobile devices, and alarms which detect falls, gas leaks, flooding, etc. The Council installed the technology in the homes of vulnerable residents in order to increase their safety while maintaining their independence.

London Borough of Barnet installed a network of e-vehicle charging stations to promote green energy. The lamp column chargers, provided by CityEV, were strategically placed in convenient locations where residents can charge their electric vehicles for as little as 25 pence per hour using contactless card payments. The Council plotted the charging locations onto an online map, using Zap Map, so residents can easily locate the station nearest to them.
