Clean Streets Matter focuses county and volunteer time on cleaning up streets with high volumes of service requests. The county's public works, parks, and waste teams assist with activities like sign repair, garden maintenance, and rubbish removal. Once an area is cleared, local residents can request pickers and trash bags to conduct ongoing maintenance. A project website includes a service request link, waste removal statistics, and before-and-after pictures of improved areas.
Project Succeeded
The first week of Clean Streets Matter led to the removal of 43 tons of trash and the completion of 91 service requests.
