Maribyrnong, VIC Footscray Smart Technology Project
City officials and Victoria University installed sensors, lighting, and Wi-Fi to create a fully connected neighborhood. Air quality sensors and traffic counters provide comprehensive views of Footscray's environmental profile. The Footscray Park App and interactive public kiosks connect users to local destinations. Public access to data are available through the Integrated Smart City Data Platform.

Or get live traffic, train and weather updates on a digital road sign. This could soon become a reality thanks to a $400,000 grant from the Australian Government to make Footscray a Smart City.
