Three downtown lots were selected for pilots of smart parking solutions from different vendors. Local officials chose cameras connected to an open-source platform with AI-powered analytical capabilities. Seven additional lots were connected to the system and outfitted with digital signage indicating vacancies. A mobile app developed by city staffers communicates current parking information to commuters.
