The first-in-the-UK program partners with regional universities on practical experiences for hydrogen industry workers. The training program includes courses on hydrogen safety and technologies along with a post-graduate certificate. The University of Birmingham helps vocational educators lead courses through the KnowHy platform. Industry professionals gain hands-on experience during training sessions at the H2 Gas Safe Lab and the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Skills Lab.

Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, GB Made for Memories pilot supports dementia-friendly tourism
The Heritage Hub at Carnlough Town Hall and the Whitehead Railway Museum were selected for the pilot. An online guide aimed at visitors with early dementia and their carers will be produced for each location. Volunteer tour leaders receive training on how to best serve those with dementia with help from adapted signage. The project will demonstrate the benefits of dementia-friendly practices to tourist destinations throughout the borough.

The Loneliness Network uses social media posts and transit ads to raise awareness of isolation across all ages. Chatty Benches in parks and public locations encourage willing passersby to engage in impromptu conversations. The borough recruited restaurants and shops as Chatty Cafés with designated tables for socialization. Project leaders also created a Chatty Café Toolkit for other businesses seeking quick starts for their participation in the network.
