Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, GB Made for Memories
The Heritage Hub at Carnlough Town Hall and the Whitehead Railway Museum were selected for the pilot. An online guide aimed at visitors with early dementia and their carers will be produced for each location. Volunteer tour leaders receive training on how to best serve those with dementia with help from adapted signage. The project will demonstrate the benefits of dementia-friendly practices to tourist destinations throughout the borough.
