The Metro Emergency Alert and Notification System (MEANS) is an opt-in program that sends messages based on a user's location. MEANS participants can add home, school, and work addresses in one account for around-the-clock localized alerts. Weather alerts, public safety warnings, and other notifications can be sent by text, email, or phone call.
