Passaic County, NJ ambulance pilot program

In Progress

The Passaic County Sheriff's Office is launching an ambulance pilot program to handle the shortage in the number of emergency responders. The program will utilize former corrections officers to assist on ambulance calls in order to provide high-quality care and minimal response time without replacing any existing volunteer agencies. Two officers will be needed to operate the ambulances already owned by the sheriff’s department.
