Pelotas, RS launched a new tourism website "Visita Pelotas" with virtual reality technology

The Municipality of Pelotas Department of Development, Tourism and Innovation partnered with Sebrae-RS to launch "Visita Pelotas" a new tourism website. The new platform provides free registration to any local institutions and establishments in the tourism sector. The website includes a new feature "360º Visit" which utilizes virtual reality to showcase the region's tourist attractions.

Pelotas, RS created a Mental Health Teleservice to help residents psychologically cope with COVID-19

The Municipality of Pelotas created a Mental Health Teleservice to help residents suffering from psychological symptoms caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients are referred by Basic Health Units to the Telemedicine team who conduct the remote service via the Google Meet platform. Patients receives six teleconsultations with a psychologist focused on achieving short-term quality of life improvements and if the patient needs medication they are referred to a online psychiatrist.
