Pelotas, RS Mental Health COVID-19 Teleservice

The Municipality of Pelotas created a Mental Health Teleservice to help residents suffering from psychological symptoms caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients are referred by Basic Health Units to the Telemedicine team who conduct the remote service via the Google Meet platform. Patients receives six teleconsultations with a psychologist focused on achieving short-term quality of life improvements and if the patient needs medication they are referred to a online psychiatrist.
