A two-year development project will integrate renewable heating, energy generation, and electric vehicle charging into a citywide network. Peterborough and partners like SSE and Cranfield University are building a system that relies on low-emissions energy sources. The Peterborough Integrated Renewables Infrastructure (PIRI) will be easier to expand than current systems that draw from a variety of energy sources.
