Port Stephens, NSW Building Digital Skills programs connects tech-savvy youth with senior residents

Port Stephens used a national Be Connected Grant for a digital training program aimed at 40% of residents aged 50 and over. Project partner Youngster.co pairs interested youth with seniors in need of tech help through its platform. Youth consultants - or Youngsters- earn money and learn about life from seniors as they fix common tech issues. The program reduces isolation among seniors while removing obstacles to full participation in an increasingly digital world.
