Red Deer, AB Five-Year Plan to End Homelessness
The Community Housing and Homelessness Integrated Plan (CHHIP) was developed to create a housing safety net for the homeless and economically insecure. CHHIP anticipates the creation of 2,300 subsidized units through partnerships with companies, religious organizations, and nonprofits. City officials incorporated social services and remedies to historical racism and inequality into the plan to improve living situations for residents.
