The city of Rockford and Winnebago County are the first in the state of Illinois to use CueHit a new feedback survey administered after 911 calls. The surveys are delivered via test message to 911 callers several hours or days afterwards and allow residents to provide feedback on the 911 service.

Rockford, IL provided 911 dispatchers with domestic violence training focused on strangulations

The City of Rockford created the Strangulation Task Force which provided 911 dispatchers with training on calls involving domestic violence. Dispatchers learned about intimate partner domestic violence and human trafficking cases which focused on strangulation. The dispatchers were taught to listen for audible symptoms of strangulation in order to ensure victims receive the appropriate treatment as quickly as possible.
