San Diego County, CA "Power Your Drive" program installs 2,000 electric vehicle charging stations
San Diego County, CA "Power Your Drive" program
In Progress
San Diego County enters the second phase of its "Power Your Drive" program which permits the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) public utility company to construct electric vehicle charging stations throughout the region. The California Public Utilities Commission is requiring that SDG&E pay for a third-party audit because the first phase of the program went $25 million over budget. The program will install 2,000 charging stations in 200 locations with 50% located in lower-income communities.
