Saskatoon, SK encourages energy-saving property upgrades with Home Energy Loan Program

Saskatoon, SK Home Energy Loan Program Property Upgrades

In Progress

Saskatoon residents can apply for low-interest loans ranging from $1,000 to $60,000 CAD per property. HELP funds must be used for significant retrofits including solar arrays, geothermal heating systems, and energy-efficient fixtures. Loan recipients learn about recommended upgrades during intake audits and select from a list of city-approved contractors. The program applies loan repayments to annual property tax bills over 5, 10, or 20-year periods.
