The innovation district received an 85-kilowatt solar installation and LED replacement bulbs for every fixture. Solar panels are divided between a 300 square meter section on the roof and a 50 square meter installation used for parking lot lights. Sorocaba worked with a recycling company to safely dispose of replaced bulbs. The Technology Park of Sorocaba realizes a 48% reduction in monthly energy costs while fostering innovation among participating researchers and companies.
