Stoke-on-Trent City Council, GB Unpaid Carer Support Pilot

Council leaders identified 4,000 family members, friends, and neighbors providing unpaid care in Stoke. Social media and digital marketing campaigns raise awareness of this type of care. Mobilise organized a Facebook group for unpaid carers as well as a five-part email course with guidance. The Carer Support Team connects unpaid carers to each other by phone seven days a week. Carers complete council assessments that identify relevant public services on the pilot's website.
