Summit County and Breckenridge estimated a shortfall of 2,600 rental units for local workers by 2023. Landing Locals was selected to run the six-month pilot. Owners of licensed short-term rentals receive up to $24,000 when converting to long-term rentals. Short-term property managers also receive up to $2,700 per unit and additional incentives for multi-unit referrals. The goal of Lease to Locals is the availability of at least 100 new rental units by spring 2022.
