Vallejo, CA Police Department expands its Unmanned Aerial System Tech Team's public safety efforts
The Vallejo Police Department is expanding its Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Tech Team to streamline public safety efforts and increase transparency with the community. The UAS Tech Team is now equipped with five pilots that are trained and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as unmanned aircraft pilots. The drone program's expansion will include outreach to community stakeholders and advisory boards to ensure that privacy and civil liberty concerns are properly addressed.
