The mobile app automatically tracks travel distances, times, and types with users prompted to confirm information at the end of each day. Varberg incentivized participation in the survey with an end-of-month drawing for 10 SEK 500 gift cards to local restaurants.

The Municipality of Varberg launched a chat feature on its website giving residents a new way to communicate with staff. Users can write questions in an instant message and immediately get answers. These users are communicating with municipal counselors directly unlike other local government offices which often use chatbots with automatically generated answers. Users must stick to general questions and avoid giving private information because the chat logs are saved as public documents.
