Seven AI-enabled cameras from Safety Shield Global were installed at points throughout Putney's main street. The Eco Census system tracks traffic patterns by pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Borough officials also receive data on nitrogen dioxide and air particulates on a dedicated dashboard. Wandsworth purchased these systems as part of a long-term plan for a sustainable Putney that includes increased tree canopy and bicycle parking.
