The seven-year, NZ$20 million fund advances Wellington's accessible and carbon-zero building efforts. Commercial property developers can apply for up to NZ$500,000, while residential developers are eligible for up to NZ$2 million. Eligible projects fit within size constraints, lack new gas connections, and hold Green Star or Living Buiding Challenge accreditations. Applicants who meet these requirements hold funds for up to three years after completing expressions of interest.
