Windsor, ON installed GPS safety measures on trail systems

The City of Windsor implemented new safety measures on one of its most prominent trail systems. The safety measures include 17 GPS signs, 13 wayfinding signs and 12 kiosks funded by local corporate advertisers. The Park staff placed these safety measures at strategic locations across the trail with the help of Emergency Medical Services. In case of an emergency, visitors can activate any of these devices to transmit their GPS coordinates to a 911 operator and directions for first responders.
