The council's digital team developed a multi-faceted training process based on the six-letter acronym. New hires receive mandatory training on Structure, Colour and Contrast, Use of Images, Links, Plain English, and Table Structure for digital assets. Customized training sessions help council teams meet regulatory requirements while improving resource accessibility. Additional resources like videos, quick-start guides, and case studies show how employees achieve SCULPT compliance.

SCULPT for Accessibility | Worcestershire County Council

SCULPT for Accessibility is a guidance framework. It is a beginners accessibility guide to learn six basic accessibility principles and skills. At Worcestershire County Council it is our answer to educating our wider workforce with the very basics of awareness and skills to become inclusive digital practitioners when creating documents and content.

Project Succeeded

Worcestershire County Council was shortlisted in the Digital Impact category at the Local Government Chronicle Awards 2022. The council was a finalist for the Workplace Inclusion Award at the 2021 Tech4Good Awards.
