Yuba County is partnering with SiFi Networks to establish a new fiber-optics network in the rural towns of Linda, Olivehurst, and Plumas Lake. SiFi Networks is covering the installation, development, construction, and upkeep for these lines at no cost to the municipalities or taxpayers. The fiber lines will be leased to local Internet service providers to encourage competitive service.

Yuba County partnered with Kroll Defender, Carbon Black, and Planet Technologies in order to improve its IT cybersecurity following a ransomware incident. The county deployed Kroll Defender and Carbon Black software to all PC workstations within its IT system infrastructure to provide real-time reporting analysis and automated mitigation playbook tools. Planet Technologies implemented Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection to prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats.
