Aarhus chose the TrueTrade e-commerce platform to facilitate recycled furniture exchanges. Office staffers use the platform to purchase second-hand furnishings from suppliers like jkOffice and Scan Office. These suppliers offer low-waste storage and delivery options that meet city goals. Municipal departments can also exchange furniture with each other through TrueTrade. This initiative follows city council approval of a sustainable furniture strategy in 2020.
