Aarhus, DK Eco-Friendly Byproducts Wastewater Technology

In Progress

Municipal-owned utility Aarhus Vand supplies startup Organic Fuel Technology with wastewater for treatment. The company's microwave reactor technology converts sewage into vehicle biofuel, biochar fertilizer, and biogas for electrical generation. This process uses less energy than other waste treatment processes and leaves high-quality byproducts. Organic Fuel Technology received funding from the city's green investment fund to test the technology.
