Aberdeen City Council collaborated with Microsoft to launch the AB-1 chatbot on the city's website in order to answer questions from residents. The chatbot currently responds to questions about waste, recycling, roads, street lighting, education, and council tax with relevant city information. The chatbot currently understand English and some of the Doric dialect. The Council intends to add more functions to the chatbot as it continues to learn from interacting with residents.
