City transit operator AMTAB replaced 110 traditional shelters with new structures that improve commuter experiences. Every smart shelter connects to the AMTAB data network and provides text-to-speech updates for riders with visual impairments. Shelter accessibility was improved from previous generations with digital information panels. Bari outfitted 40 shelters with smart lighting systems and USB charging stations powered by solar panels.
