The council approved 30 hubs stationed throughout the city by Urban Innovation Company. Each hub features a large touchscreen for pedestrians to access maps, city updates, and tourism information. Pulse Smart Hubs enhance connectivity with Wi-Fi and phone chargers. A 999 button and a mobile defibrillator in each hub improve response times during emergency situations. Pulse Smart Hubs fit into the Smart Belfast plan by collecting air quality data via hub sensors.
