Billings, MT is using a new priority medical dispatch program to improve emergency response times
Billings, MT priority medical dispatch program
The Billings City-County 9-1-1 Center has started using a new priority medical dispatch computer program to improve emergency response services. Priority dispatch determines which medical emergencies call require a basic or advanced life support response based on a series of standard questions. The new system helps the City-County Dispatch crew reduce wait times and emergency response backlogs by sending specific resources instead of sending a fire truck and ambulance to every medical call.
