Boston, MA is working toward electrifying the entire Boston Public Schools fleet of buses by 2030

Boston, MA electric school bus pilot program

The City of Boston's Environment Department is partnering with Boston Public Schools (BPS) to launch an electric school bus pilot program. During the first 10 months of the pilot, BPS will launch an RFI on electrification strategies and focus the on the procurement and deployment of 20 electric school buses. The goal of the pilot is to eventually electrify the entire BPS fleet of 739 buses by 2030.
