Brighton & Hove City Council, GB experiments with on-demand collection of electronic waste

Brighton & Hove City Council, GB On-Demand Electronic Waste

In Progress

Tech-Takeback and the city are using the ZeroNet app to collect small electronics for no-cost recycling. Local residents select pickup times for accepted items like CDs, computer wiring, and game consoles. Collected items in good condition are donated to local charities after computers are wiped of their memories. Brighton & Hove hopes that the RevaluElectricals campaign collects 10,000 items and donates 500 refurbished electronics in its first year.
