The City of Chicago is launching a rebate program to support residents and business owners with outdoor security-related costs in order to reduce violence and improve public safety. The Home and Business Protection Rebate Program includes partial reimbursement for outdoor security cameras, motion sensor lighting, vehicle GPS trackers, and the first year of surveillance-related cloud storage. The city is encouraging participants to register their cameras with the Chicago Police Department.
