EV drivers will be able to access HyperHubs at two park-and-ride lots by summer 2021. Each HyperHub houses rapid and ultra-rapid chargers that accommodate every plug-in vehicle on the market. Chargers are powered by solar panel canopies that also protect users from the elements. Commuters pay 25 pence per kilowatt-hour for up to 90 minutes of charging. City officials worked with Evo Energy on the next stage of a public charging system in place since 2013.
