Cold Lake, AB Medical Transportation Grant Program Costs

City officials created the program based on resident feedback about limited specialty care and diagnostic services in Cold Lake. Successful applicants receive CAD 150 grants to cover travel expenses for appointments located at least 150 kilometers from the city. There is an annual limit of CAD 600 in transportation grants per recipient. Cold Lake offers grants to single-person households earning less than CAD 35,000 and two-person homes earning less than CAD 45,000.
