The county flew drones in the days following Hurricane Irma to evaluate property damage, road obstructions, and flooding. These images were placed on Facebook and Twitter to help evacuees determine if they were able to return home. The sheriff's office also worked with business owners to use drone footage for traffic management during the inevitable rush for fuel and food.
