On Monday, fire crews spent most of the day monitoring a silo at the Interstate Grain Company near Up River Road, after grain dust inside the silo began to smolder.
Project Succeeded
The drone initiative has been so successful that Corpus Christi Fire Department is purchasing a $30,000 drone that can also cover Nueces and San Pat County. This investment aims to also improve the outcome of fires, hazmat incidents, search and rescues, and water rescues throughout a greater part of Texas.
