Cumbria County Council, GB Smart Lighting System Protect

Complete

Council officials sought a sustainable method for protecting wildlife and residents from unnecessary light. Thorn Lighting first trialed directional lighting along the trail at Cliff Terrace that reduced light spill into the night sky. Plurio light fixtures connected to the NightTune system were later added to a Workington park and a neighborhood in Glenridding. This intelligent lighting platform adjusts each fixture's brightness and color based on the time of day.
