Detroit, MI leads Michigan Mobility Collaborative into a pilot of autonomous driving systems

Detroit, MI Michigan Mobility Collaborative Autonomous Pilot

In Progress

The city-led collaborative received a federal grant for the four-year project. Feedback sessions with seniors and commuters with disabilities will identify opportunities for self-driving shuttle use in public transit. Researchers at the American Center for Mobility and the University of Michigan will test selected technology before its use in real-world routes. The Detroit ADS Project will determine how autonomous shuttles can be safely incorporated into Detroit's transit system.
