Edmonton, AB Automated Waste Collection Truck Rollout
Sixteen city garbage trucks are outfitted with Automizer Helping Hands programmed for curbside collection. Properly placed garbage and organic waste bins are emptied by the devices without involvement by waste collectors. Edmonton established a six-phase rollout process for the program lasting four months. The automated waste collection program improves efficiency and reduces staff injuries caused by manual collection.
