City Partners With Start-Ups On Effort To Ease Traffic Congestion - SFGate

FREMONT (BCN) The city of Fremont is partnering with two startup companies as part of its Startup in Residence (STIR) program to explore ways to ease traffic congestion on city roads. IPgallery Urban Mobility and ClearRoad, Inc., will work with Fremont's Transportation Engineering Division on the effort over 16 weeks from January to May. IPgallery Urban Mobility will design a traffic incident communication tool "that aims to facilitate communication between city staff and Fremont roadway users and help mitigate problems before serious delays and bottlenecks occur," according to a city news release.
