Grant County, WA pursues keyless door project at public facilities to reduce COVID-19 transmission

Grant County, WA Keyless Facilities Door Project COVID-19

Complete

Exterior doors at the county courthouse, public works building, and county jail switched to keyless locks. The county received federal funds to install new locks as a method for reducing contact with shared surfaces. Each authorized access card can be tracked from lock to lock with remote lockdowns possible after unauthorized use. Grant County officials plan future upgrades to create uniform security processes across buildings that use multiple lock types.
