The authority offered up to £15,000 for successful applicants to replace or retrofit large vans and buses. Each applicant acquired or outfitted a vehicle that meets Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) requirements by March 2021. Small businesses with 50 or fewer employees and nonprofits were eligible for the program. Greater London Authority modelled the scrappage scheme after an 18-month van replacement scheme that brought 5,000 vehicles into ULEZ compliance.

Scrap or retrofit a heavy vehicle - Transport for London

The Mayor of London's scrappage scheme for vans and minibuses has been extended to HGVs, heavy vans, buses and coaches to help clean up London’s air. It supports small businesses with up to 50 employees and charities to replace or retrofit older, more polluting vehicles that don't meet the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) standards.
