Havant Borough Council, GB Real-Time Water Testing Pilot
The project team placed a testing apparatus on a buoy off the island's coast. This device automatically gathers and tests samples from waters popular among swimmers. Test results are sent to a public dashboard for real-time updates on potentially unsafe conditions and trend analysis. Project partner Southern Water used its Beachbuoy wastewater release alert platform as a template for the testing system.
