The city of Ithaca approved a new ordinance mandating that any employer with more than three permanent workers provide salary range disclosures in their job listings. The law would also require employers to post these pay ranges when they offer a promotion or transfer opportunity to their employees. The law was designed to promote equitable wages and support the rebuilding of the community workforce by helping workers advocate for higher pay.
